A 14-year-old Arizona boy has been arrested and charged with killing his 15-month-old cousin after confessing to the murder.
Police arrested the teen on Wednesday after spending two years investigating the crime.
Police say the teen admitted to strangling and beating his baby brother because he wouldn’t stop crying. Sadly, the family has a long history of abuse, and the 14 year old was abused by his mother – Guillermina Maldonado, who was arrested on Saturday. She is accused of beating her children with belts and even standing on the 14 year old’s throat as punishment.
Police say the boy admitted to biting, punching, and tying a bandana around the 15 month old’s neck.
The 14-year-old faces a 1st degree murder charge.
