The picture above shows a woman who beat her son, 3, running through the streets while allegedly high on bath salts, moments before she was tasered by police.
Pamela McCarthy went into cardiac arrest after she was tasered by police who tried to subdue her. She later died.
McCarthy’s neighbors say they called police when they observed McCarthy punching her son, attacking neighbors, and strangling one of her dogs.
Jason Williams, McCarthy’s boyfriend, said he saw her choking their son and ran outside to take the boy from her.
According to one neighbor, “‘She was… just running back and forth around the street and she got a hold of one of her dogs and she was rolling around on the ground with her legs wrapped around it – she was strangling the dog.”
Officers say that by the time they arrived, McCarthy was “violently combative,” growling and trying to bite them.
McCarthy has a history of drug abuse, and is believed to have been high on ‘bath salts’ at the time of the attack. Authorities will run an autopsy on McCarthy.
