A Florida teacher could be fired for placing what appears to be a dog cone on her student’s head for punishment.
Zephyrhills High teacher Laurie Bailey-Cutkomp, 47, outraged parents by using a cone-shaped dog collar, dubbed “the cone of shame”, to punish her students for acting out in class.
Last month, however, parents of students at the Florida high school saw pics of the “cone of shame” on Facebook and complained.
“I was in second period. I was drinking soda, and she said, ‘Do I have to put the cone on you?’”, one student told the school board. ”I didn’t say anything and she put it on me.”
A school board meeting has not been scheduled.
