IFWT Arenas x Govan NBA Star Drops His Lawsuit Against Basketball Wives....For Now

NBA star Gilbert Arenas has dropped his lawsuit over the appearance of his fiancée on Basketball Wives LA.  Arenas, who plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, dropped the suit on the caveat that he can bring it back any time he wants.

Arenas had originally filed the suit claiming that neither his ex-girlfriend Laura Govan or the producers of the show could make money from his image without his permission.  He’s now asked the court to drop the suit after planning to marry Govan.

Arenas has left the door open for him to reopen the lawsuit if the engagement doesn’t work out.  But Shed Media, the company responsible for the show, is filing a motion to have the suit dismissed permanently.   The show has also faced controversy recently after fans have begun a massive boycott of Evelyn Lozada, claiming that her violence on the show encourages kids to bully one another.
