*An online statement confirmed Tuesday that Season 3 “Sunday Best’ winner Le’Andria Johnson is pregnant.
Viewers suspected that the slight bulge in her clothing during a recent appearance on BET’s “Celebration of Gospel” was a baby bump and rumors began to swirl.
Johnson, 29 is a single mother of three.
In the statement (that follows in its entirety) the mommy-to-be acknowledges she needs prayerful support while carrying baby number four and managing the demands of a new career and motherhood:
“In recent weeks, there have been numerous published reports stating that I am pregnant. I would like to take this time to confirm that I am pregnant and due in September. I have been feeling well and maintaining a healthy appetite. I have been busy traveling around the country with my music ministry. One can only imagine that as a mother and mother-to-be, my plate is quite full—taking the kids to school, doing homework, cooking—regular mother duties. I have been blessed to have the love and support of my church, family, friends, label, management, and fans. I have received so many beautiful and thoughtful notes and prayers from people all over the country. I ask that you continue to pray for me and my family. I cannot do this alone. I will continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection over my life. I love you all very much and I will be in touch soon.” – Le’Andria Johnson

I’m sorry, and it is not my place to judge, but I will risk hate mail and state an opinion. This is very, very bad! Three children, no husband, another baby on the way. She may be Christian, but she lacks morals and this sets a bad example not only for her girls if she has any but for all young black women and girls.
We need to uplift our girls through God, education, and family and not through unwed motherhood.

Christians do judge and should judge if you are a true human being. We all have our faults and skeletons but she needs to sit it down until she gets herself together. If she is claiming to live a life as a Christian she does need to live by example and stop making these stupid decisions. If she’s not going to practice abstinence then at least use birth control.
We are talking about more than motherhood here. I know that many Love her and will continue to. But we must remember that when you are living,preaching and single the gospel life. You are held to a higher standard. We say that we are ministering to people on how to have a true walk with the Lord. Then we do something that causes others to speak evil of your ministry and say that you wasn’t real in the first place. Anyone on these comments may find themselves in a situation they never thought they would be in but it happens. Her walk with God is none of anyones business. In the “world” Christian are called to come out of the world and be separate from the world. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but we are not all taking a microphone and proclaiming how we got over after we keep getting up off our backs1,2,3,4 and so on (or which ever way it it was done) and singing to the world to follow God when we do not!
This is the mess that puts the gospel to open shame. This is a big responsibility to witness and not follow-Yes, people are going to pray for her and her family, but will it do any good if she dont even believe it! She was honest enough to publicly talk about her addiction, no doubt in time (for those of you who need to know) the exact truth about how she got here will also be known but for now I thank God that she did not have a abortion, that she was willing to continue with the pregnancy in the public knowing what would be said. WHO IS THE BABY DADDY OR BABY DADDIES?
Isn’t this the young lady who was once homeless, etc.? I don’t know that much about her but she has an amazing voice. I’m still trying to figure out her voice range. Anyway, while I was reading this article, she pops up on my TV. I just happened to be watching Bobby Jones Gospel Hour. She is singing “His Eye is On The Sparrow”. Well, @ topic, I am no where near being a Christian, I have many children. Some of them were born legitimately, some are illegitimate, some have been placed for adoption and some of them are dead. It does not bother me one bit. Everybody has a situation. It is really no big deal. Let us live our own lives and let this young lady live hers. If her situation bothers you that much, put her out of your mind and put on a Mahalia Jackson record and be done with it.

How can we as adults set examples for our children when we are doing things that we were suppose to have been taught in Sunday School and some minister do say you should abstain and if you must use some type of protection. With all the stuff going a round now days you need some type of protection. Most two family house hold can barely raise one child and to think a woman with three kids and on on the way let’s get real. Children now days need two family house hold.
Gossip and backbiting is also a sin. Truly saved and annointed Elders of the church, speak to her, pray with her. All of us, we must pray for the Church, the entire Body of Christ. As a leading lady in the church I have so many mixed emotions about this topic. No it’s not our job to judge this young lady but at the same time we don’t have to promote it either. I had the pleasure of meeting this young lady a few years ago… I was first excited but later disappointed by her behavior and her appearance before and after her concert. She was not dress as if she was going into the house of the Lord, as matter of fact during her performance someone had to get a jacket to wrap around her and later a sheet… All while she continued to sing. I listen to a interview she did stating that she tried out for American Idol but didn’t make it so she decided to go out for Sunday Best… We must understand when we do something on our own, it don’t work! But when we truly follow God, I mean let Him truly lead us great things will follow. BUT you must remember who you are and who you working for. When you want to get glorified God can’t bless, but it becomes a mess such as this. Just like public Pastors who fall & then take a period to reconnect with God, she must do the same. Drinking abuse & now baby… God with take HIS children through but when you are truly HIS he will bring you out. The word of God is our standard for calling sin , sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 Paul tells him To preach the word , reprove , rebuke , exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
