A teenager is accused of killing two British tourist who got lost in his neighborhood because they didn’t have any money.
Shawn Tyson, 17, allegedly attempted to rob James Cooper, 25, and James Kouzaris, 24, in April of last year when the two drunk Brits stumbled into Tyson’s neighborhood. When the Brits told Tyson that they didn’t have any money, however, Tyson shot and killed them.
The Brits had walked to two bars and somehow, ended up lost in Tyson’s Sarasota, FL neighborhood.
Tyson faces a life sentence if convicted.
It’s a sad day when you get lost and ask someone for directions and they gun you down. This teenager will get what he deserves in prison. I have been out of town and walking and people asked me to direct them to the expressway. I had no problem because I was a tourist and got lost on that same expressway. The community belongs to everyone no matter if you live in it or not. This teenager was not taught respect for mankind.
