Singer Bobby Brown reportedly left the funeral services of his late ex-wife, Whitney Houston before the funeral was set to begin.  Witnesses say that Brown was clearly upset as he left the New Hope Baptist Church and they are not sure why he left the premises so early.  A source says that Brown brought nine people with him to the funeral and wanted all of them to sit in the family section.

“They were asked to leave,” the person said, referring to the entourage. Brown was not asked to leave, but “he left with the other people,” according to the person, who was not at liberty to discuss the situation publicly.

While some media outlets are reporting that Brown’s entourage was kicked out, others are saying that the group consisted of his children.

Brown was clearly upset as he left the funeral, riding off in a black Cadillac SUV.   There was previously speculation on whether or not Brown would actually attend the services.   He was eventually invited by the family.

  1. not true he left on his own per his statement

  2. Ivan Renko says:

Yes he left “voluntarily”, but not of his own accord.  There’s a difference between leaving on your own and leaving because you want to.  Bobby wasn’t carried out…so what?  He may have walked out, but he clearly did NOT want to leave.

He left as a result of security’s refusal to accommodate him and his children, who, like it or not, were certainly part of Whitney’s family.  Those are Bobby-Kristina’s half-siblings and Whitney’s stepchildren.  Bobby shares a child with Whitney.  Were these so-called God-fearing Christians thinking about any of that?

I also feel that they disrespected Whitney’s memory, because she would not have wanted him to be treated like that.

  5. vee says:

Did his invite indicate only him.  He should have come alone, many other people did.  He did not need an entourage.  He was needed to support his daughter. No one else.

  6. Tourismhiits says:

Bobby Brown is a mess, and he has caused the death of one of our great singers, who has contributed much to the joy of humanity. She is loved all over the world, while he will be reviled save for only a few dark corners locally….

  7. Info34 says:

RIP Whitney We Love You!  Now for Bobby he should have granted the wishes of the Houston family.  All he had to do was come by his self and show Bobbi Kristina I’m here.  Everyone knew how the Houston family wanted things to go and so did Bobby.  I know from this day forward, we will hear all kind of BS. No matter what the media and some of the trash talk many of you will say.  Whitney Houston did just what she wanted to do, her way.  We are all responsible for our OWN LIFE and many of us need to listen, learn, and follow GOD’S RULES PERIOD.

To all the ones pointing @ Bobby Brown, Aretha Franklin in her interview said it best when asked about Bobby being responsible.  “You don’t know what goes on in  a marriage”

That’s wrong it’s enough pain as it is

  12. Petey_d says:

I’d like to know how Bobby Brown caused Whitneys death?

  13. Pantherestates says:

I just have 1 word about asking him 2 leave….BYE!

  14. Ivan, everything should be done decently and in order… Bobby should have been at the Church when the family lined up at the door…He made a scene when he came 15 minutes late…

  15. Villifania says:

     I agree with you’re comment!!!

  16. Becca says:

Bobbi Brown has his own demons to deal with.  Whitney was called home and  I hope both father and daughter have a close and constructive relationship in the future.

Bobby Brown: “Security Moved Me Three Times, Prevented Me From Seeing Bobbi Kristina”
Bobby Brown attended his ex-wife’s funeral but did not stay. It was initially reported that Bobby Brown left because he was offered family seating for three but arrived with an entourage of nine.

However, in a statement released by Brown a few moments ago, Brown says, “My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.”
“I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move,” he said. “Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

  18. Bettyboo4838 says:

You Guys Need to get the facts right He left on his own because he brought more people than his original invite of 3 people and he came with 9 instead

  19. Dbblamr says:

    Me too???

  20. Rc Beckom says:

first of all let’s get the facts straight, a lot of black people with kids from different dads got the facts all wrong, Bobby kids & the one  he had by whitney are not half brothers & sisters, if a female have five baby daddies those are half brothers & sisters, therefore those are her “Whole brothers & sister, second, It does not matter what Whitney side of the family thinks about bobby, when all is said and don’t and the bright lights are done, father and daughter will unite in sprite of what anyone thinks, its a fact of nature, not a throught of mankind.

  21. Dellehenderson says:

Bobby was not with Whitney when she died. So why is everyone seeming to be down on him. I am not shocked at Whitney’s death. There seem to be a pattern with famous pop singers.  Not many live past the age of 50. Michael Jackson just made 50. Elvis, John Lennon, Sam Cook, Little Anthony, Frankie Lymon, Momma Cass, Levert, Luther Vandross and others made music that will last for years while battling their own private demons. Let them RIP. It doesn’t matter what the public, Whitney and Bobby has a child together and I will bet dollars to donuts, she will wind up with him. I know a a daughter, no matter how my parents fought, they were still my parents….

  22. Bubbley1961 says:

This was a moment that should have not happened. Omg the women is gone and everyone is still being evil!! It was not right. The man was there with his children they could have accommodated him some kind of way. They could have done that on behalf of Whitney who was his wife for many years. I’m sure whitney would have not wanted that to happened. Rest in peace Whitney you are now free.

  23. Bubbley1961 says:

Whitney’s homecoming on television Saturday was beautiful and well done (5 thumbs up)

I understand that there were problems between Whitney and bobby but those problems are now history because Whitney’s not here any more physically. We as the outsiders looking in don’t really know what this family have been going through so we really can’t and shouldn’t be so quick to take sides. I’m sure through this all Whitney was no angel!! It takes two to tangle. My heart lay with Bobbie Kristina and Whitney mom. Omg parents are not suppose to bury their children, the children are suppose to bury the parents. This was just so sad #imsosadoverwhitney

  24. Bubbley1961 says:

He left because the people at the church that’s suppose to be Christians loving Jesus were not showing their nice side. What ever bobby and Whitney when through was their business. Yesterday was not the place or time for anybody to be treating people wrong.

  25. Staycope says:

Jenifer Holiday told reporters that Whitney was using drugs long before she got with Bobby.  I loved Whitney but i’m not dillutional to make her a saint because she died…that in itself is insanity…

  26. Bluedobe151 says:

Damn … Damn … Damn .. Oh hell to the naw!!! Why they do Bobby like that ?? “he’s the king of R&B” Whitney said …

  27. Junior says:

Let me get this straight. Satruday, Feb. 18th was “Whiney Houston’s” day, yet all of you are squabbling about Bobby??? Who give a damn about his sorry butt.

  28. Reba says:

Get over it!!!  He disrespected the family when he brought more than 3 people with him.  What has he done for Bobbi Kristina since the divorce? Did the” entourage” visit Whitney when she was alive?
