An American concert promoter says he was abducted at gunpoint in Angola after Nas failed to show up for a concert. TMZ is reporting that Patrick Allocco, the CEO of AllGood Entertainment, was kidnapped by a local “concert impresario” by the name of Henrique “Riquihino” Miquel, who paid big money to have Nas come and perform.
Patrick and his son were collected at gunpoint by some men hired by Miquel to find out what happened after Nas failed to board a flight on time to perform. Both Nas and Jemiah Jai were paid $315,000 for the performance. Allocco wasn’t going to be allowed to leave the country until the man got his money back.
Allocco’s reps are saying that he was handed over to local police, but that they were detained and interrogated for hours. The local U.S. Embassy stepped in to protect them. But a rep from the Embassy is saying that Allocco and his son are not being allowed to leave until the situation is resolved.
“The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated,” Allocco said in a statement.
