Paying tribute to Aaliyah is one thing, but having her face on your back is another. But that’s exactly what the rapper Drake did this year, showing off his tat while playing tennis. The image features a picture of Aaliyah, with a dove flying over her head.
Aaliyah passed in August, 2001, dying in a plane crash. Drake says that she was a major influence in his music. He also wrote a letter nine years after her death: ”I’ve never lost a parent, a friend, or a lover but I will never forget this day for the rest of my life,” he started off by saying.
“I remember getting the news that you had passed and it connected with my heart like a clean shot from Muhammad Ali. I was crushed. Not only was I one of your biggest fans but I was truly in love with you. I loved the way you carried yourself, the way you dressed, the confidence with which you addressed passion and relationships in your music. I said to myself that even if we never met, I wanted a woman in my life just like you.”

What’s the point of writing this story without posting the picture?
You blew up like a banshee because a fan had your name Taylor’s on her forehead. Your no different than a fan.
