The recent Hawaiian vacation taken by Michelle and Barack Obama has gone down as the most expensive presidential family vacation in history. There are now reports stating that Michelle Obama was behind the massive spending spree, being accused of demanding the expensive trip when President Obama wanted to head to a local presidential retreat.
Sources told the National Enquirer that Mrs. Obama loves to spend money and even went on a shopping spree right before the family trip to Hawaii.
‘The President’s advisers have told him that Michelle’s spending has spiralled “completely out of control”,’ one source told the National Enquirer.
“Barack read his wife the riot act, but his words fell on deaf ears. Michelle said there was “no way” she was going to disappoint her daughters.”
This is a non-story and just ridiculous and not worth repeating . The National Enquirer piece read just like so many of their other stories.

Michelle knows that their days are numbered at the White House and she is going to see to it that she and her daughters get something worthwhile out of the deal. Personally, I would’ve suggested Switzerland. (I simply LOVE cold weather) Anyway, she had her dream vacation. It’s a done deal. No need of crying about it now. There have been other First Ladies who took advantage of their status, so leave Mrs. Obama alone. Actually, I hope she takes another vacation before they leave office.

Think we are forgetting what is really going on here with
this story…. It’s just another distraction to keep our community upset. We
should be conversing about way more important issues like how so many in our
communities are unemployed and left homeless, and how our children are left to
starve and receive the worst education, that is the real we should be
discussing in the first place. So what! The first lady decided to splurge on
her first family! One of the perks of being the president’s wife is the ability
to take their family on trips like this. I think she has been way too modest in
the first place… This is a millionaire family, what would look like for
anyone of her status to expect for anything less? I wouldn’t, and I don’t even
qualify for her status. What kind of country would allow their president to
expect anything else? And what in the world would they look like taking a cheap
vacation in the first place? Everything that they do is going to start at the
top, it is considered the presidential way. I guess his status/ title, allows
him and his family into all the places we that were once considered taboo for
African Americans and it just does not fare well with some, they need to get
