A 9-year old boy in North Carolina was suspended from school for two days for sexual harassment. Emanyea Lockett’s crime was that he told his friend that he thought his teacher was cute.
‘I was talking to my friend and I said Miss Taylor was cute,’ Emanyea said to local WSOC news.

If his parents are serious about his development they will use this situation to increase his awareness of what his purpose in life is about. Many children are home schooled and do very well. Not being in a public building does not diminish his future. It is an opportunity for other parents to examine the nature of their children’s relationship with schools and school personnel.
This is a pure abuse of authority, if what the child stated was deemed inappropriate I would like the first level of discipline would have been a counseling session with the child to explain the error in what he stated. Suspension should have been the last alternative not the first, I suspect racism played a part in this child suspension. However, with not knowing all the individuals involved I cannot say for sure. I do know the history of North Caroline and discrimination toward people of color is a major factor in that area.
this kid should sue! what morons, fing southern teachers are!!
Our children are under seige, and no class action suits by the NAACP, Urban League, Rainbow Coalition, etc. speaking out about the criminalization of our children. Yet, they want to be supported by the community.
Even the abuse of having a new born baby draped in all of that yak hair — a clear subliminal message that the baby’s own hair is not beautiful. Self hate is so deeply ingrained in black folks that now we want to put a wig and/or hair weave on a beautiful baby.
How sad is all of this, yet black folks think they have arrived, and got it going on. Afterall, our nouveau riche are dropping a quarter of a million a night at bars, buying “christalle” and/or losing $800,000 or a million a sitting at a casino, or paying same for a piece of jewelry at jewelers stores who pay $5,000 for the same useless piece of junk, but……………. it’s their money. No, it’s the money of those who laugh at these idiots.
I hope Wendy Williams understands the negative impact she’s having on women with this hair issue too. This ”I can only be seen in public with a wig on.” campaign she’s got going on with her TV, aka the boob tube, psychololgical programming instrument.
Is it that we can’t see the errors of our self- hate, or that it’s “go along to get along” into the bowels of hell until perpetuity time.
I don’t get it. What crime has this child committed. Why are these idiots in charge of our children…
yes, covert racism still exist, in most government and private institutions in America. What is the solution? Here is an idea. All the black wealthy athletes and private citizens and rap artist and movie stars, can open a private school system in all black and white communities, the Muslims and Jews and Christians are doing it all over the world to protect there children from white ideology, ethnic exposure and religious prejudice. Blacks must be aware that the majority of teachers are white with racist sub-conscious tendencies, (not all of them) however, that is not the problem, FACT is the system continues to fail us. The solution is what is urgently, urgently necessary.
SO WHO IS GOING TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE NOW, NOW. FROM THE BASKETBALL COURT AND FOOTBALL FIELD AND BASEBALL FIELD AND ENTERTAINMENT CIRCUS AND FANCY LAW OFFICE AND POLITICAL PULPIT AND SAVE OUR YOUNG BLACK MEN??????????????????. IF NOT NOW, WHEN.
its the dirty south, she must of had some sexual fantasies about this little boy for her to be so upset or was it the fact that a little nigger thought she was cute!!!
And she thought he was Herman Cain?
“Not knowing the individuals involved…” That is the defining event. We do not know who the parents are and what level of involvement they have with the school. For me, that is crucial. If there is a legal guardian or parent available this could be worked out if they are willing. If a school official called home and could not get a response what are the options? Human responsibility is the key concept that must be part of the mix.
What is wrong with paying an individual a compliment that was not the least bit sexually suggestive? Racism had to play a role here. The 9-year 0ld did not even say it directly to the teacher. Someone overheard him talking to a friend. This country is not going to hell! It is already there!
My only interest is what is this 9 year old’s take on life. Is it suppose to matter what he thinks? Not to me. Who told him he had a standard for beauty? Take care of him so that he can become something of value to the world. I will him to you.
Charles
I agree wholeheartedly and that’s the best I’ve heard since I was born as a solution!! Amen, amen, amen. This is something Oprah could start at home and convince the others in the upper stratosphere!!
Why does this little boy have to be a nigger! Says alot about you
This young man is only nine years old and made a comment to a friend. There was no harm or sexual harassment in this case. This was a compliment only. There was so disrespect. This teacher should have used his comment as a lesson to encourage our children on appropriate comments to may to adults. That way she could establish bountaries and assist our children in the proper comments to make to adults. It is a sad day in education when children are suspended to an clean comment he made to a friend.
If I was the parent I would sue and take my child out of that school system and teach him at home. The district would lose the money.
I am so sorry that the young people are having such a hard time these day because of a few sick people’s actions in the pass. If this is going to be a new law, then prepare the children for it in school. Make it a subject just like reading and writting. Called sexual abuse and herrasment. Teach them so that this won’t be unknown until it happens. If you don’t teach the subject, then how do you expect the children to know when you did not know when you were young. If someone tought you (grown) how do you expect children to know as a child. The next law will be (if you hold the hand of another child, then you will be brought up on charges of touching.) if you touch their hand then you will touch their arm and that leads to other parts of the body.NO NO NO
Wow! This Teacher all to be a shame of herself:( God will not let her get by with this:( why would you consider this a sexual harrassment, It’s a compilment:) I guess she was having a bad day, I’m sorry some of these teachers really don’t have any compassion, they have problems of there own and take it out on others, without thinking:( I wish this child the best he did no wrong, I tell you the school system just like having our black kids arrested for something so small that could be handle and avoided, The mother should fight for her child, he does not need to be supended for giving a compilment, “For Example” Wonder if the child said Miss. Taylor you look nice today or I like your hair, It’s not sexual harrassment,..I think the teacher needs some counseling, unbelievable:(
This is a cute little guy himself. But let’s be honest and deal with some facts about our society. Kids are growing up fast and are exposed to all kinds of influences at an early age. Many of us have heard of or know of “children” who are engaging in sex and in some cases, becoming pregnant.
I have said all this to say that we do not know all of the facts that went into this mix. Let me play Devil’s advocate for a minute and lay out the following scenario: Suppose this is a fresh lil dude (and I am not suggesting that he is because we don’t know) who is quite mature (precocious) for his age (we all know some of them) and he has been winking at the teacher and/or other little girls in the school. And let us assume further that when he said to his friend that the teacher was cute, he said it with a “look and a knowing smile” would that change the level of outrage in any way?
I am not saying that the kid deserves suspension or even a reprimand for this because as far as I am concerned, this was more a compliment than anything else and this school and/or teacher needs to examine their motives and adjust their school policies to reflect sane and appropriate discipline to match offenses committed by youngsters.
It just doesn’t seem appropriate that a child would be suspended from school for what, on the surface, seems to be a “compliment”. Maybe something is missing. Maybe we don’t have all the information.
Gee, I taught school and had youngsters tell me I was pretty. It usually made my day!
Thanks for informing the world that ur a DUMB CRACKER!! Go back to the cave, where u came from. We know you wish that you were black.
This teacher just may be a Lesbian with some very serious issues against the male species or she just has it in for this one particular child. The school administrators are questionable as well.
Someone ought to do a study on the behavior of trailer trash. Like why do they think it’s okay to leave dirty diapers on the kitchen and have sex with their relatives. Maybe you could be the first one they interview?
THAT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I’VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME. IMAGINE WHAT HAD HAPPENED IF HE HAD SAID SHE WAS UGLY. WOULD HE BE LOCKED UP. I AM GLAD I AM NOT IN SCHOOL TODAY BECAUSE THE WAY I WAS BACK IN THE DAY I WOULD GET KICKED OUT SCHOOL. WHATEVER IDIOT DECIDED THAT CHILD NEEDED TO BE SUSPENDED NEEDS TO BE FIRED. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS.
..and he is a cutie himself. A little boy that may be getting some attention for the wrong things..his parents need to prepare him for the female attention he may receive in the near future and keep him in academics. I also hope they tell him not to judge people by their looks.
perfect example—jay z, used the notoriety that comes from living in marcy projects to propel himself to stardom, Guess it’s cause these rapper comes from places that are just ” so real” and white people love it…At one point, rocawear alone grossed 800 million dollars a year, yet i don’t see one roca wear factory in america…Icon class blacks need to do more for the places they are from
