What the Ha-Yell reports:

The pulpit is a long way from the Player’s Club.

Actress Lisa Raye McCoy, best known as stripper-with-a-heart, Diamond, in the urban classic movie, Player’s Club, has the streets—and the congregations—on fire (and brimstone) with the rumor that she’s dating prominent LA Bishop Noel Jones, founder of Noel Jones Ministries and brother of Grace Jones.

His mega-church, City of Refuge, often sees mega-stars in its pews, and we’re quite sure many of them have seen a slide in the polls (Ok, that was the last one), but the idea of Lisa Raye dating a pastor is simply the most hilarious on-dit we’ve heard all day.

comments on What The Ha-yell! Only 3 Good Black Men For Every 100 Black Women:
The standards listed for black men are very low and weak and if even they cannot be obtained black relationships are doomed.  Obtaining a high school diploma, making at least $30K a yr, not being an out of wedlock dad . . . these do not take monumental efforts, sacrifice, energy&  time for the most part. However, black women who have gotten BS, Masters, PHDs, MDs, JDs have usually sacrifiecd blood, sweat, tears, energy and large amts of time that can not ever be given back. They have given up potential lost opportunities by applying themselves to serious study in order to strive to make a better life for themselves.  The standards quoted for women vs men are not equally weighted. Lisiting qualities such as alooking like Halle Berry, having Oprahs $ do not equate to having obtained a high school diploma and making $30K. Black men have failed on so many levels and their false sense of bravado and ego and unwillingness to listen, learn & grow has played a large part in the death of loving functional relationships and families.

Whew…another kick to us religious folks…..This really prove that you must have Faith….

  4. Msrnjd says:

If U dont get my point it is useless to even try n explin. Your retort is total BS.

  5. Msrnjd says:

Faith without works is dead. Get busy, get real, get wise. All of the silly arguments and retorts are a fools response to truth ie, black women only want thugs. It is a adhomin attack against black women with the intent to deflect the truth of the matter that far too many black men have failed their own children, families, communties and  their own and their families futures. Change only comes about when the truth is accepted, forgiveness takes place and new intentions, goals set with the right support. Peace and love to all . . . we all need it !

Kudos brother, you’re 1000% correct.  Its time for us to step up to the plate and accept responsibility for our actions.  Our women are our backbones. We need to support them not berate them!!!!!!

  7. Adrian786_utah says:

As quiet as its kept most black women that I know don’t stoop that low!!  So don’t group all black women together. You must be one of those men you talk about in your diatribe,  Unless, your example is either  based on what your father taught you, or on your mothers experiences.  Sorry!!!!!!
