A white glove once owned by the great Michael Jackson might soon be in the possession of the feds in a case that is being built against the son of an African dictator. The son’s list of “princely” possessions also includes a $530,000 Ferrari and a $30 million home in Malibu. The US Justice Department is seizing $32 million in assets from Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, son of Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The father has ruled over the country of Equatorial Guinea for 32 years.
The father is being accused by the US government and others around the world of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars for himself and his family. A 2010 US Senate report details that the son has moved $110 million into the United States through shell companies and anonymous transactions. He owns a $38.5 million Gulfstream V Jet, in addition to 32 fancy cars, including eight Ferraris, two Bugatti Veyrons and a $2 million Maserati.
Obiang has already had 11 cars seized in France, including the $2 million Maserati MC-12. The feds are accusing him of spending $100 million earned from extortion and embezzlement. He also bought $3.2 million in Michael Jackson memorabilia, including the white glove that Jackson wore during his “Bad” tour. The US government has been accused of dragging its feet against the Obiang family, in large part because they control a key oil supply.
“The move to freeze Teodorín’s assets in the U.S. is overdue,” said Arvind Ganesan, business and human rights director at Human Rights Watch, in a statement. “But the real test will be if the U.S. government vigorously pursues the inquiry to its conclusion without letting diplomatic or business ties stand in the way.”
He aint doing no more than some pastors doing to their congregations…only he not doing it from the pulpit….but “pimping” the people is the same no matter how you do it! Its all just AMERICAN GREED at its best…….and until people stop being “zombies” and enabling these “pimps” then there will be not end to the greedy preying on the needy…..
