In the age of terrorism, it’s hard to know what’s truly scary and what’s not.  The president’s representatives are saying that President Obama’s motorcade had to make a u-turn after a gas can was found waiting for him at an intersection in North Carolina.

Wilkes County sheriff’s deputies say that the can had been sitting there for several days, but the Secret Service took all precautions.  The Winston-Salem bomb squad was called in, and they were able to get rid of the can with no danger to the president.

The president spoke at the West Wilkes High School to promote his jobs bill.

  1. This article doesn’t mention whether or not it was an actual bomb or simply a gas can.  I think that this would be an important factor to include.

wow! It may have been sitting there for several days but it still had its true purpose!
