What the Ha-Yell reports:
Though feeding anti-poverty advocacy and anti-capitalism messages were reported in the Bible as trademarks of Jesus, GOP hopeful, Herman Cain has interpreted his stance a little differently.
In a RedState column titled “The Perfect Conservative” last December, Herman Cain claimed that Jesus was a conservative who helped those around him with no government assistance:
“He helped the poor without one government program. He healed the sick without a government health care system. He feed the hungry without food stamps. For three years He was unemployed, and never collected an unemployment check.”
Cain further writes that in the face of his liberal views, Jesus was killed by a “liberal court”:
But they made Him walk when He was arrested and taken to jail, and no, He was not read any Miranda Rights. He was arrested for just being who He was and doing nothing wrong. And when they tried Him in court, He never said a mumbling word.
He didn’t have a lawyer, nor did He care about who judged Him.
His judge was a higher power. The liberal court found Him guilty of false offences and sentenced Him to death, all because He changed the hearts and minds of men with an army of 12.
Cain has been very open about his Christian faith, voicing views that many characterize as Islamophobic and veering dangerously close to blurring the lines between church and state. He also contends that he will give Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas) some heavy competition for the Christian conservative vote, and that Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, cannot win the nomination because of his Mormon faith.
Before Cain makes such incendiary claims, it might behoove him to remember that, according to the Bible, Jesus fought against the government because they were not helping the sick and needy, not because he didn’t think that they should; and, according to the book of Matthew, God would not approve of Cain saying otherwise:
“Go away from me. God has already decided that you will be punished. Go into the fire that burns forever. You must go away, because I was hungry, and you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me nothing to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you did not invite me into your home. I was without clothes, and you gave me nothing to wear. I was sick and in prison, and you did not care for me.’ “Then those people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty? When did we see you alone and away from home? Or when did we see you without clothes or sick or in prison? When did we see these things and not help you?’
“Then the king will answer, ‘I tell you the truth. Anything you refused to do for any of my people here, you refused to do for me.’
Maybe Mr. Cain missed that sermon while he was out trying to figure out ways to avoid providing employees at Godfather’s Pizza healthcare.

Herman Cain has been talking tough about a whole lot of different groups of people, including blacks, but I know one group that he, like most folks (not me though), is not going to say a mumbling word about. And that these anti-Jesus Jews of today and the past, who are the ones that really had Jesus killed. Jews are a very evil and selfish people, who care for no one but themselves, first and foremost. And have “blood sucked” black people ever since, and including, the slave trade business was taking place. Now, Brother Boyce, how about asking Cain to speak to the issue of anti-Jesus Jews, if and whenever you get the chance. — Rev. George Brooks
