A woman in Northern California is suing Pipedream Products, a company that makes “special toys” for those “special moments.” She claims that her toy didn’t make her feel very good. In fact, she says that it caused something to rupture inside her vagina. According to the lawsuit, April Bonjour and her boyfriend were playing around and using a dildo for foreplay. As they continued to get hotter, she suddenly realized that something wasn’t quite right.
“During the usage, I felt an intense sharp pain inside my vagina,” Bonjour said in her lawsuit. “My boyfriend quickly removed the toy, it was covered in blood. I thought, very briefly, that I had started my period but as the bleeding continued, getting heavier and heavier I knew it was not my period.”
Eventually, Bonjour realized that all the blood wasn’t due to her period, and might be something more serious. That’s when they went to the hospital.
“By the time they got there, I was in and out of consciousness,” she said. “My son … was terrified at the sight of me — he thought I was dying (quite frankly, so did I).”
Bonjour says that although she did recover from the incident, the company owes her something for her emotional duress. But the company seems to think that collecting her money is going to be nothing but a pipe dream. To date, they are refusing to pay and stand by their special products.
