Oprah Winfrey tops Forbes’ list of the highest paid women in all of entertainment. She earned $290 million from May 2010 to May 2011, making her the queen of all entertainment yet again. Lady Gaga, who came in second, wasn’t even close. She earned $200 million less than Oprah, with Bethenny Frankel (SkinnyGirl Margarita) coming in third.
The 57-year old Winfrey shows no signs of slowing down. She literally makes money in her sleep, and is expected to continue building her empire with her new network. Born to a teen mother and later raised in a tough inner city section of Milwaukee, Winfrey has overcome a great deal in order to achieve her success.
A lot of people don’t know that Winfrey’s real name was “Orpah,” out of the Book of Ruth. But since no one knew how to pronounce her name, they just called her “Oprah” instead. But even if you can’t pronounce her name, you can always just call her “rich” and “influential.”
You, go Oprah…the richest black woman…oops meant the richest black billionaire. Nobody should ever doubt what a black Queen can achieve!!!
