The ladies of The View never fail to keep it real, and today’s tense episode was no exception.
Barbara Walters stepped into the n-word trap when she tried to explain to co-host Sherri Shepherd that it should be acceptable for her to use the word if she is simply reporting the news.
Shepherd, with a complex honesty that is severely lacking in politically correct social discourse, explained to Walters that she doesn’t care why she’s saying it, because it bothers her when white people use the word in any context:
“When I heard you say it, it was fine,” she told co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, who used the word while reporting on Texas Gov. Rick Perry‘s “Niggerhead” controversy. Shepherd then turned to Walters, who also used the n-word in the conversation, and said, “I didn’t like the way you said it.”
I’m glad she did that. That lady is ridiculous sometimes, but she did have a black boyfriend at one point.

I really do not care for sherrie one way or the other. She impresses me as a goody 2shoe wannabe.I loathe Elizabeth a misguided rags to riches Republican. For those 2 reasons I do not watch the View.I think Whoopie has lost some of her fire on various issues.Joy Baher is true to her convictions and I admire her for going against the establishment when it is not politically correct to do so.Replace the 2 phony baloneys with real honest true to life women .
