It is being reported by ESPN that things got incredibly heated during the negotiations between the NBA players and Commissioner David Stern. Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat allegedly got incredibly angry at Stern during the conversation and made some strong and “pointed remarks.”
Chris Broussard is saying that the meeting became “incredibly heated,” when Stern kept pointing his finger at the players. That’s allegedly when Wade yelled, “You’re not pointing your finger at me. I’m not your child.”
At that point, many of the players left the hotel, with Union Chief Billy Hunter working to calm the players down. Chris Broussard said that the owners are “stunned” by the players’ commitment to winning the battle of negotiation. Also, during the confrontation, Wade allegedly referred to Commissioner Stern as “David” on multiple occasions. Wade, LeBron James and Chris Paul have all stated to the union that they are willing to sit out a year instead of giving up additional concessions in order to save the season.

Unionize so all players make millions, time and change the rich owners got rich off white only player, but made billions off the backs of black players.Do not back down players, give to your communities and to GOD and you will never go broke
ABOUT TIME THAT THEY SHOWED- UP…
THE POWER IS GREEN,NOT BLUE.IT`S NOT ABOUT THE FAN BASE JUST ABOUT THE GREEN & THE POWER THAT
COMES WITH IT…..Mr.WADE,Mr.LeBRON & Mr.PAUL
ARE JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG.
Finally somebody is getting some nuts!!! These players are brands within themselves, mini conglomorants. The players Union has given the players a lot of power that was never before used, today the players are using their power, BRAVO!!!
I applaud black men for standing up and being men.I get so tired of all that shucking and jiving .Michael Jordan has more money than his grand kids’, grand kids will be able to spend, yet this jig want take a stand on anything.David Stern and NFL commissioner Roger Cadel think they own these black men.You know how much social change could come about if these guys grew up and as a collective stood up?Too many just don’t know their self worth and the power of a group that knows it’s self worth. It’s a shame that only Dwayne Wade had the self respect to tell that insecure weeny to stop acting like his overseer. The rest of those buck dancing shines didn’t have the sense to know they were being insulted.
The finger pointing tactic of neo-racist like the arrogant Stern is solely designed to tell Black people to stay the hell in their place.
How dare you people question me!
Malcolm X said ” If you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything.”
I always said that Dwayne Wade had more heart than LeBron James, and he plays like it on the court with passion and true grit.
Congratulations, Mr Wade for ” Taking The Bull By The Horn.”
Is your mother a buck dancing shine?
Is your mother a buck dancing shine?
I’m glad the players are starting to stand up to the owners. This old slave-master relationship needs to come to an end.
Maybe Wade and James heard about the 8 Black men killed by Miami Police ironically during last season’s 7-8 month season.
I applaud Dwyane Wade. It’s inspiring to see prominent black men standing with conviction & vigor. Never surrender or allow anyone to punk you. Bravo Wade!!

Stand up, my brothers, you have the power to control your destiny. Feel the power and use it to your advantage just like YOU (Dwayne, Lebron and Chirs) made the decision to play together despite criticism from the shite man. ….this is the same principle. I’m so tired of black athletes being led like sheep. I’m waiting for Kobe and other athletes to stand with you. Now is the time.
I disagree. LeBron’s experiences and learning curve may not be what Dwanye’s is but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have heart. In addition, to that they are two different people and express themselves differently. The fact that he’s on board says he does have heart. Stop doing what the Slave Masters try to do ….divide and conquer. Just because Wade got heated and stomed out doesn’t mean he has more heart than anyone. They both are good men in their own right and shouldn’t be compared to each other. We’re talking about unity.
He’s on board for what? What does Wade got heated and stomed out mean? What th hell is stomed?
Did you read what I said? Did you comprehend what I said?
I said D. Wade plays the game with heart and true grit all the time. Very often James doesn’t show up for the big contests and at times he does play like he left his heart in San Francisoco or should I say Akron or Clelveland.
How the hell do you know what the Slave Masters did? Tell us the source of your reading list or where you living back them which gave you insight into what was going on the plantation.
From the way you write it is quite apparent that you must be still on the Plantation.
Black men coming together, always a win and never a lose situation, keep it up my Brathaz
What is the world are you talking about?? What kind of religious babble are you spouting? it has nothing to do with anything that is being discussed here. There’s always some religious freak trying to bring religion into it, you’re way off base and no one is interested!!!!
men standup so know you nfl players take notes
Before you refer to anyone’s grammar, you should take a hard look at yours. It’s called “Proof-reading!”
“What th (sic) hell is stomed?”- BevoNixon
Besides, the other guy is absolutely correct when he said, “these two, Wade and James, are two different people.” Just because they express themselves differently, it doesn’t portray one as having more heart.
(Malcolm) X and Dr. King were totally different but they pretty much had the same philosphy and goals.
Btw, I beieve the guy you attacked was referring to Lebron (James) as being @ the meeting, therefore, he does have heart.
Bevo
You’re a simple minded jackass to use that as some slight to Lebron. Grow the hell up. If not for Lebrons 4th quarter play they don’t get out of Boston or Chicago. Stern was yelling & pointing at Wade.
Didn’t know this was a black vs white thing. Last time I checked, the union isn’t fighting only for the players within the union, but the rights of all NBA players, which, and I may be wrong, includes white guys too (and some other races as well). Do black people really have to turn everything into a racial issue? A white guy points at a black guy when upset, and in your mind that’s automatically a ‘slave/master’ scenario and Stern is a racist? Lot’s of people point when they’re mad, hell I do it from time to time. I mean I’m black too so I get the whole “prominent black guy standing up to ‘the man’” thing, but this is a simple battle between a company and it’s employees over money, not some civil rights movement! I just wish race wasn’t put into EVERYTHING. If the colors of their skin were switched, or if they were the same color, none of you would even make such a big deal out of it
Mike: I ask your boy what the hell is stomed mean maybe you didn’t get that.
You don’t know what hell you are talking about in reference to Dr. King, and brother Malcolm.
Brothers Dr. King and Malcolm had more similarties than they had differences.
It would take another 3000 words to really get deeper into comparing and contrasting Dr. King and Malcolm X.
Brother Malcolm was from a working class Black family while Dr. King’s family was part of the Black Southern aristocracy
.
Where you involved on any level in the struggle for Black Liberation? Or did you learn about brothers King, and Malcolm from your parents or your college professor who wasn’t involved in the struggle?
Most folks that know the game of basketball say that D. Wade plays the game with passion, feeling, intensity and he is always focused on winning, and helping his teammates.
Mike Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, also played the game with heart, true grit, passion and none of those ballplayers ever stood around like LeBron James, and watched his other teammates take charge.
I saw James basically quit in the last series when he was with the Cavs, which shows a lack of heart.
I am sure you would agree that James doesn’t show-up for every game, which is evidence by his play on the court.
Players like D. Wade. Mike Jordan, Magic, Bird, Bill Russell, The Big O, Bob Cousy, Jerry West, Clyde, Dr J. all played the game with passion and intensity each and every minute of the game. How many Championship rings do all of the previous playes have combined? How many rings does James have?
How many rings does D. Wade have?
Mike Jordan made everyone around him a better ball player and that’s how they won six titles. Does James make everyone around him a better ball player? Kobe does!
I can teach one all the fundamentals about the game of basketball but I can/t give you any heart. I can motivate you to play, but I still can’t give you heart.
Kobe Bryant plays the game like MJ, and he very seldoms takes games off like King James. Kobe is a warrior on the basketball court, and he is the nearest thing to MJ around the game today.
Larry Bird was not as gifted athletically as Marcus Johnson, but Bird put in more TIME honing and improving his skill set to be one the greatest ball players in the history of the game.
Marcus could jump higher than Bird, but rebounding is not about high you can jump, but its about timing and positioning. And Bird was an excellent position rebounder, which took many long long hours in the gym in fine tuning that art.
Bird could pass the rock better than any forward in the history of the game and that includes Elgin Baylor and Dr. J
.
One has to the mindset that when ever the ball is shot its my rebound, and No one is going to get that bound except me.
That’s what made Bill Russell such a great rebounder. He studied his opponents shooting habits where they took certain shots, and how often they took those shots plus the fact Russell was a world class high jumper who could have made the Olympics as a High Jumper if he had chosen that route.
There are many other flaws in King James game, which should have been caught and corrected back in grammar school but it would take up to much time to write about them.
All humans have some degree of heart some have more heart than others. All people can’t be leaders, and D. Wade is a leader, and leaders lead by example.
I am not so sure that King James is as committed to the game of basketball as MJ or Kobe, Bird, Russell, Baylor, McHale, Magic etc.
I do think that James enjoys the game of basketball, but man you got to love the game of hoops like MJ. Bird, Magic, Elgin Baylor,Russell, the Big O to be included in any conversation with the greats of the game.
I ask the question is the game of basketball just a business to James or does James love the game of basketball? Can you look upon basketball as a business and still love the game?
King James does have the opportunity to also make an important contribution to the game of basketball whether or not he seizes the time will solely rest upon his shoulders.
I told one of my most celebrated prized pupils when he was a teenager that when ever you step on the field of play to give 500 percent on each down, and after the game the other players will say damn who was that number 89. He went on to have a very good career in the NFL.
When I played forward at 5’8 against Ron, and Richie Allen of Wampum Pa they were in the battle of their life with me under the hoops. Ron was 6’2 and Richie was 6’3 but after the game they said damn who the hell is that wild ass brother.
Richie said his stomach was in pain, and Ron was bruised around both eyes. I was in perfect shape.
Richie went on to play with the Philadelphia Phillies, and he led the majors in homers for a couple of years, and Ron played with the Chicago Whitesox for a minute.
I remember when Richie first came to the Phillies, and one of their star white players called Richie a racial name, and Richie gave the bigoted white player the beat down of his life.
Nobody in today’s game is as strong as Richie Allen, and they called Richie the bad boy in Philly because he wipped this white boy’s ass. The White fans in Philly were always calling Richie ever kind of N. word in the book, and they traded the white player that Richie had the confrontation with to another ball club.
The Big O stood up and challenged the Reserve Clause in the NBA, while the most of the other players just sat on their asses and reaped the benefits of Oscar actions.
That’s what Malcolm meant about standing up for something the way Oscar, and Curt Flood and the late John Mackey stood up for justice. They were great Black men who stood-up for justice. They just didn’t sit on the sidelines while important history was being made.
Oscar in basketball, Flood in baseball and John Mackey in football stood-up for justice. Those three great Black warriors stood up for justice which made those sports more lucrative for all that play the game today.
You shouldn’t have a so-called Black history or American history course or program that doesn’t get deep into what the above Black men did in the context of the overall struggle for human dignity, and Black Liberation.
Congratulations, Mr Wade for taking the Bull By The Horn and standing up for justice.
Amir: If you can read please read what I said to Mike above.
Have a great Day!
The player mentioned happened to be Black. It’s not a “black vs white thing.” It is an issue of respect. David Stern is obviously feeling the pressure from the owners who have the power. By the way, I don’t remember Stern being called a racist. He is an employ, second in the chain of command. Note the finger pointing incident was at a player, not an owner. Stern wants the players to fall in line. The owners are losing a lot of money. It’s a green thing.
bevonixon , Notice I didnt captalize , the “B” and “N” in your name… Small letters for a small man, my bad , I meant WOMAN bitch ass !!! Anyway,I can tell you don’t know shit about basketball ! Who in their right mind would even say they played for “ wampum ” get the fuck otta here with that bullshit ass baseball school , speaking of baseball ,you played basketball againist baseball players you said your what ? ’5″1 oh my bad ’5″8 sorry lil man, your describing your box out skills, they were in a battle for their lives ( your words ) come play some ball up in The Bronx BITCH , I would show you a battle for life PUNK BITCH !
P.S. get a life and stop blogging on every site bitch, I mean BITCH !
@Sellur,if you are afraid of black men,why would you even go to an NBA game, unless you get some perverted ,sexual thrill from it.Hey douche nozzle,no one goes to an NBA game to watch the inept, trust fund, over compensators play.Black men drive this game. What you and your passive aggressive bigot ilk are really afraid of is those black men finally waking up and learning their true self worth.
Damn boy who taught you how to read? Didn’t you my grasp my point .
The Allen Brothers played for WAMPUM. High School. They played basketball and baseball. Is that clear?
The basketball played in the Bronx is superior to the basketball played in Wampum, but that wasn’t my point. The Bronx has more people on one block than the entire town of Wampum. I also played against Norm Van Lier who played 13 years for the Chicago Bulls… Im not from Wampum. I’m from Brownsville in Brooklyn. The best basketball in the City is played in Harlem and Brooklyn. Who won the title in the City last year? Queens also has some great ball players, and the Island.
I do no many players from the Bronx who played in the Rucker League, and they were all great players.
I never said that I was a great player, I said that I gave 500 percent when I stepped out on the court or the gridiron. The the key to rebounding is timing, postioning and boxing out. And when you played against me you damn sure were in the battle of your life on the hoop court.
The Big East and other conferences in the USA are full of very good ball players from New York City, which is the mecca of basketball in the USA.
Where did you play ball in the City?
In the past you could take five players from Harlem or Brooklyn from the block who could compete in the NBA.
Dr. J played in the Rucker League, Kareem, Roger Brown, Connie Hawkins, Tiny, and damn near anybody else that had a game. There used to be brothers walking around on the corner who could beat any five that St Johns, Fordham, NYU, could throw-up.
What’s up with all of those BITCHES!
What made you so fired up?
Now you have a good day brother!
Power To The People!
Preach & Teach
I commend to D. Wade in standing up and telling that International Banker David Stern to go to hell.
Word!
You go Dwayne, remember you are keeping “the man” in riches by working you butts off to give us great basketball. David needs to be put in his place!
Isn’t David his name? What is wrong with him calling him by his name?
Well said. Not all of us feel that its a race issue. Its a labor issue.
SORRY FOR THE INSULTS , PLEASE FORGIVE ME.
I agree with you totally Wade does have more heart than LeBron he is not scared in crunch time. That a known fact LeBron James does not show up when you need him to like in the big games in Cleveland and in Miami. The last season with Cleveland he gave up.Dwade in the season before lebron came single handedly took his team to the playoffs. If Lebron had of showed up and played as he played all season the CAVS would have won.Im sorry but he is quitter..Im just saying..
I dont understand why people get so mad and call people out of their names when your opinion differs from theirs.I mean I understood what you said and it made good sense it is said over and over again by the all the Great NBA players LeBron does not show up..Dwade plays with more heart. You can call this man every kind of bitch or jack ass it does not change the facts…And Sir what you stated were facts!!!!!!!
I cant speak for you but for me and Im 33 that is what I have experienced all my life.At school and jobs it always whites versus black.Sometimes it may not be the case but there is a level of respect that needs to be given to each other. And some white people will push your buttons as far as they can.I dont know any grown black person who points their finger in another black persons face their kids but not an adult. That is a sign of disrespect..
And that is the reason why I think people always put color into cause most of us experience it daily…But I dont think it was about black and white I think its more of a respect thing!!!!!
Too many of today’s ball players don’t want to put in the time to become great.
Man, you got to love the game and play every minute with passion. That’s the way MJ, Bird, Oscar and Magic played and that’s why they won titles.
Kobe became a warrior with hard hard work.
Thank You
You can win any argument with facts and statement of facts.
Thanks, Dtclm2kids.
