Remember those days when you just knew that you were going to be called into the principal’s office? Joe Biden is likely going to be pulled into President Obama’s office after he hears about remarks that Biden made on a radio show this week. On the show, Biden said that it’s time to stop blaming the poor economy on the Bush Administration and start putting the blame on the shoulders of the Obama Administration.
“Right now, understandably — totally legitimate — this is a referendum on Obama and Biden and the nature of the state of the economy,” Biden said on WLRN in Florida.
He continued on the issue, dismissing polls that said that Bush was partly to blame for America’s economic mess.
“Even though 50-some percent of the American people think that the economy tanked because of the last administration, that’s not relevant,” Biden said. “What’s relevant is we’re in charge. And right now we are the ones in charge and it’s gotten better, but it hasn’t gotten good enough.”
“I don’t blame them for being mad. We’re in charge,” Biden acknowledged.
You have to wonder if Joe Biden is the right man to serve as President Obama’s vice president. Three years ago, Biden put his foot in his mouth by stating that President Obama was the first black presidential candidate to be “clean” and “articulate.” This was just the latest time that Biden has embarrassed himself and Obama. Maybe there’s writing on the wall about Biden’s resignation.
At the same time, some may interpret Biden’s remarks to mean that the administration is taking responsibility for the downturn and are willing to work hard to fix it. No matter how you slice it, this is going to be used as ammunition by the GOP.
Biden is right!!!Obama should have went in there all hood and just start passing things that needed to be done instead of trying to work together with people that are not even working with him but working against him…
I don’t see a problem with JB’s comments since the POTUS does now own this economy. But we own the do nothing congress that has a blood oath against this administration and will not do their jobs. Those people were elected in areas where dems could have won & didn’t. Unless we re-elect the POTUS AND send a congress that is willing to help the nation recover we are in trouble. Elections have consequences.

Joe is just trying to look out for his future image. Obama was not suppose to be elected president in the first place, but since he was chosen by this black guy to be VP, Biden was forced to play the part of a liberal for most of his four years in office. Now that his term is ending and he does not expect Obama to be re-elected, it’s time for Joe to resort to being a “regular” white guy again. In whites, chromosome 17 has a gene containing a racist allele. Biden is no different.
I hope he’s not that stupid, and until I hear this I won’t believe it.
Cut the hype. That’s not what Biden meant and you know it. Enough agendizing already. Stop bending the facts.
It surprises me not that eventhough I believe he meant that he and Obama are in charge and it should be something they as the President and Vice President are in the position to solve or make better, naturally there are those who will interpret it as being something different. However, reading and viewing how the media is playing politics, it is becoming more evident to me that the “true color” of America will be seen more in the near future. Once again, the Great White Hope syndrome will appear as the election approaches.
What gets me is, we as a people still do not get it!
I agree 100%, BP_54! People got out and voted for President Obama (he should get the respect as our commander in chief – I call him “President” Obama); did not go out and vote for their local governmental offices last election and look what happened. You have a bunch of republicans in office that will swear the sky was purple if President Obama said it was blue. Who do you blame for that?
Yourselves. The ones that did not vote in the local elections put those people in charge. Now, look what we have. Hopefully, people will realize the importance of voting in the local elections and for the POTUS. I’m just saying…
I haven’t liked Biden since the Anita Hill hearings. He was a slippery eel then, and he’s still slippery and creepy. Always look into the eyes and check the smile. he’s a snake in the grass for sure
